About Us

Hi! We are Missy and David Fisher. We have been married for two years, and are ready to begin building our dream home. I teach special education in Fayette County, and David is a mechanic at Delta. We decided two years ago to change our lives after reading The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. During this process we paid off debt. Our goal was building our dream home, and this blog is about our adventures in accomplishing that goal.

Loan Approval

We have been searching for a lot and neighborhood for the past two years. We have visited just about every single neighborhood in Coweta County and part of Fayette County. We first visited Lake Summerfield subdivision two years ago. We really loved the neighborhood and the type of homes built in that neighborhood. The lots are pretty large, there is a huge lake, and it is very open and beautiful. We wanted to look all around before deciding on a neighborhood. Well, we kept finding our way back over to Lake Summerfield. We could not stay away. We finally decided that this is where we wanted to build a house. So yesterday we were approved for our loan for the lot. We made an offer the same day, and today the developer accepted our offer. Hopefully we will be closing in the next two weeks.

    We are wanting to build this house too! Could you send me pictures if you have completed your build?? We are in Harrisonburg VA and just sold our house and need to start pricing builders and I am thinking this is the one for us too!     Hello, my husband and I are thinking about building this house as well. I would love to see pictures both inside and outside if you don't mind sharing them. My husband and I live in McDonough Ga and unfortunately our builder has not built this plan yet and we have nothing to walk through. So finding pictures is the best we can do at this point.
